The Collective is a community driven organization
that focuses on neighborhood issue awareness and solutions.
In the case of our most recent project,
we are addressing the concerns of the greater
Brooklyn area and its issues with LaborDay/Jouvert and Jab Jab Safty
We understand what these activities mean to the people of brooklyn:
Heritage, Honor, Reflection and Triump
but all these important values have been dwarfed by the constant
pattern of violence that seems to follow these events.
Our Project for 2018 is to create viable alternatives or augmentations
to the parade to continue the much needed celebrations but nutralize
possible threats to public safty.
This forum will act as a way to rasie funding for the next series
of laborday events and accumulate suggestions and resources.
Should we reach our target of $220,000, we should beable to rent out
the Javist Center in NY,NY which has more than enough space
for indor activietes and is secure enough for proper vetting
of participants.
